This course is designed to meet the ethics CPE requirement for those states (see list below) that require a course on professional and/or business ethics. It covers general ethics, ethics in business, ethics in accounting, the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct (with case studies), the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, the AICPA Statements on Standards for Tax Services, and the AICPA Statements on Standards for Consulting Services.

State Boards of Accountancy that will accept this course for the CPA ethics requirement include Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota*, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island,*  Vermont, and West Virginia.
