Course Description
We have two courses that qualify for the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy (TSBPA) ethics CPE requirement: Texas CPA Guidebook for Ethical Behavior (#594720) and this course, Ethics and Professional Conduct for Texas CPAs (#594819). The courses are approved by the TSBPA and are listed on page 1 and 11 respectively, on the TSBPA list of Board Approved Ethics Courses.
Ethics and Professional Conduct for Texas CPAs begins with a discussion of the definition of ethics and the importance of ethics to the accounting profession. Illustrative examples and case studies are used to describe the core ethical foundations of ethics in accounting, with an emphasis on ethical reasoning, judgment, and the ethical standards of the profession. The course then continues with a review of the current Texas State Board of Public Accountancy Rules of Professional Conduct.
*Please consult the Texas State Board of Accountancy for specific requirements. We are listed on page 9 of the Board's list of approved ethics courses.
