Course Description
Note: This course is accepted in the following states: AK, CA. CO, CT, DC, HI, ID, IL, IN, IO, MD, MA, NE, NV, NH, NM, OK, PA, VT, WV. See also individual state versions of this course (for example, Ethics for Accountants: California), which include state-specific ethics requirements in the Appendix.)
This course will not satisfy the ethics requirement for states where a course covering state-specific rules and regulations is required. You will need to take the state-specific course for these states: AZ, DE, FL, LA, MN, MS, NY, OH, OR, RI, TN, TX, UT, WA, WY**.
South Carolina: This course satisfies the four-hour requirement for a course in "..other ethics topics." For the required two-hour South Carolina-specific course that is also required, see our course South Carolina Ethics Rules and Regulations.
For CPAs who are licensed in two states: If neither state requires an ethics course that covers state-specific rules and regulations, you can take this course if you wish to receive a certificate of completion that lists the course-title as "Ethics for Accountants" only, with no specific state designation.

This course meets the ethics CPE requirement for licensed CPAs in states that require a general 4-hour course in regulatory or professional ethics (and not in states where the course must cover the state's rules and regulations specifically). It covers ethics in the accounting profession and the current AICPA Code of Professional Conduct.
